Logos Biosystems, a provider of innovative life science research tools, announced the introduction of their next automated cell counter, the LUNA-FL™. “The LUNA-FL™ Dual Fluorescence Cell Counter is a breakthrough for life science researchers,” says Neon Jung, CEO of Logos Biosystems. “We have integrated dual fluorescence and bright ield optics into one powerful instrument to provide researchers with maximum flexibility for cell counting without the limitation of cell types.”

Researchers are upgrading from glass hemocytometers to automated cell counters. Various automated cell counters are currently available, but these instruments are not flexible and accurate enough for analysis of a wide range of cell types. For example, primary cells such as PBMCs, splenocytes, and yeast have been traditionally difficult to count with conventional automated cell counters. The LUNA-FL™ accommodates this requirement. A few fluorescence cell counters are available, but these instruments are less compact and considerably more expensive than the LUNA-FL™ Dual Fluorescence Cell Counter. Thus, the LUNA-FL™ is a multitasking machine that offers flexibility, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
