Great for counting erythrocytes. We use this to count RBCs in whole blood and it is simply way faster and easier than using a hemacytometer. The automated cell counter is excellent and extremely convenient. Using trypan blue, we are able to clearly differentiate between erythrocytes and nucleated leukocytes.

Easy to use, accurate results, a very effective lab assistant. This cell counting equipment is very easy to use and the results are accurate. Accurate and easy to use automated cell counter. The Luna-FL is the most accurate automated cell counter that I have used. It is very use friendly and can distinguish easily between smaller cells and debris. I have only used the instrument for brightfield counting thus far but am looking forward to using the other functions in future experiments. The customer service is also top-notch.

Robust results. Quicker than manual counting but far more expensive. I was able to obtain good agreement between the PI channel of the Luna FL and my own manual haemocytometer counting of nuclei stained with DAPI at a fraction of the time. One caveat would be false ‘viability’ given from background staining of AO on tissue debris but it could be useful in determining the level of debris from the isolation.
