Logos Biosystems attended the 10th FENS Forum of Neuroscience that took place in Copenhagen, Denmark from July 3-6, 2016. The X-CLARITY™ Systems, including the X-CLARITY™ Tissue Clearing System and Polymerization System, generated much interest. Many visitors to the Logos Biosystems booth were familiar with or had tried CLARITY themselves. CLARITY is a tissue clearing method that produces structurally sound and transparent whole tissues ready for multiple rounds of antibody labeling and imaging. The method has opened up a world of possibilities, from tracing neural circuitry to exploring the relationship between structure and function with a global perspective. Logos Biosystems licensed and independently developed the CLARITY technology to make significant improvements for tissue clearing speed, efficiency, and reproducibility.

The X-CLARITY™ Systems were received with enthusiasm as a means of standardizing and accelerating a tissue clearing method that many scientists have struggled with since its publication in Nature in 2013. Released in 2015, the X-CLARITY™ Tissue Clearing System has over 50 customers worldwide.

The FENS Forum is the largest neuroscience meeting in Europe and is held biannually on every even year by the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS). The FENS Forum was established to encourage communication and collaboration in neuroscience research. Over 6,000 people attended the FENS Forum this year from all over the world but mainly Europe.
